Brian Scott Besing, 52, of Somerville, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018. He was born October 1, 1965 in Evansville and was a coal miner for White Stallion Coal. He was a member of the Eagles in Oakland City. Brian enjoyed anything with a motor and was also a good carpenter.
Brian is survived by his wife, April (Stuckey) Besing, to whom he was married March 24, 2014; his father, Larry Besing of Buckskin; 5 children, Zachary Besing of Oakland City, Bri Sandifar (Chris) of Oakland City, Abigail, Alyssa and Arik Thurston of Somerville; 4 grandchildren, Kole Besing, Alexis, Kenzi and Chloe Sandifar; 3 brothers, Tony Besing (Karen) of Buckskin, Keith Besing (Patty) of Buckskin and Kenny Besing (Anita) of Oakland City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Gage Besing in 2014, and his mother, Judith Ann (Miller) Besing, February 19, 2017.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3rd and again from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
