Edman I. Stewart, 87, of Monroe City, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Golden Living Center in Petersburg, IN. He was born on January 22, 1930 in Knox County, IN to Isaac & Helen Blanche (Willis) Stewart.  He had worked as a bookkeeper in a grain elevator and as an administrator with Vincennes University.

He is survived by his 2 sisters:  Imogene Adams & Virginia Flory; several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters: Nancy Cox & Catherine Nelson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church (S.E. Knox County), officiated by Pastor Brenda Wick.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the chapel.  Burial will be in the Hamline Chapel Cemetery.  The family has entrusted Colvin Funeral Home of Princeton with the arrangements.
