Elzie Eugene "Gene" Mason

Elzie Eugene “Gene” Mason, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. Gene was born August 12, 1938, the second of nine children born to Billie and Anna Mason of Princeton, IN.

After attending Francisco High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis and Detroit and upon retirement, returned to Princeton, where he resided for the past 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Cramer; brothers, Billy Joe, Phillip & Donnie.

His survivors include sons, Tony Mason (Angie) of Terre Haute, IN, Barry of Indianapolis; grandsons, Brandon & Steven; brothers, Fred of Evansville, Gary of Maxwell, IN, Mark & Stan of Greenwood, IN; and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Andrew Johnson. There will be no burial. Military service by Retired Military Veterans. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
