Larry Paul Vaughn, 73, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Evansville. He was born October 13, 1944 in Princeton to the late Merle Winfred and Alice Marie (Callis) Vaughn. Larry worked for over 30 years and retired in 2005 as a claims adjuster for Maryland Casualty and later Zurich & Farmers Insurance and then became involved in farming. He was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton, where he also sang in the choir.

He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle French (Terry) and Melissa Sue Steiner (Kevin) all of O'Fallon, MO; four grandchildren, Taylor and Peyton French and Skyler and Conner Steiner; three sisters, Carol Rutter, Joyce Nisely (Myrl) and Donna Leis (Douglas “Doug”) all of Greenville, OH; a sister-in-law, Sandra Kolb of Princeton; and a special friend, Judy Moore of Princeton.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marlene S. (Stewart) Vaughn in 2005; and two brothers-in-law, John Kolb and Don Rutter.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Hillside United Methodist Church, 828 W Archer Road, Princeton, IN 47670, with Pastor Chris Neikirk officiating. Burial will follow at Decker Cemetery, north of Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 N Main Street, Princeton, IN 47670 and again from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the church.
