Hello, Debord Family.

I am sorry to be late in my condolences. I live out in the western US and seldom get back-home news, by my father passed this on. I never met any of you, but knew Mark from grade school days at Baldwin Heights through high school as we were in the same grade. He was a fantastic guy and always quick with a smile and wit. Always upbeat. Some of my best memories of Mark were a few sleepovers during grade school days as well as going to the Princeton theater (which his grandap, Mr. Green, owned/operated). Mr. Green lived on the other corner down the street from my house in Tower Heights. We always got to see free movies and get all of the free popcorn our little hearts desired. Several times we would go see a corny monster movie and hide behind the seat in front of us when it got too creepy! We laughed hard and played hard together. I also remember his passion for plants and working at the greenhouse. One of the best people I ever knew and enriched my childhood by being able to call him friend. My prayers and heartfelt thoughts go out to you. May God give you an overwhelming sense of His presence at this time and in the future. I was a happier kid and the world was a better place because of Mark Debord.
