Ruby E. Resler, 93, of Francisco, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born August 1, 1925 in Downers Grove, Illinois to parents, Ronald Witherspoon and Bertha L. (Turner) Pierce. Ruby married John R. Resler on August 18, 1945 and they spent 55 years together before his passing in 2000. She worked in production at Potter and Brumfield for 32 years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church, enjoyed being part of the VFW Auxiliary #2714, and had been active at the Gibson County Council on Aging, formerly known as the Senior Center. Ruby was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Ruby is survived by her 3 children, Judy Phillips of Patoka, Darrell Resler (Janet) of Evansville, and John A. Resler of Princeton; 6 grandchildren, Steve Phillips, Tony Phillips, Heather Resler, Clinton Resler, Jason Resler, and Gennifer Clay; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Mary A. Huffman, Evelyn Adams, and Ronald Witherspoon; and grandson, Ryan Phillips.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Indiana with Pastor Mark Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be held from 4 until 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Indiana
