Thomas R. Hume, 55 of Princeton, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home. He was born December 11, 1961 in Princeton, to Lindel and Judith (Johnson) Hume.

Tom graduated from Wood Memorial High School in 1980. He had worked as an engineer assistant for Indianapolis Power and Light Company for 22 years. He had lived in Princeton for the past 25 years moving here from Oakland City. He was a member of the New Life Church of the Nazarene and the Oakland City Masonic Lodge #467.  He enjoyed paddle boarding and slot car racing.

Tom is survived by his wife, to whom he married July 17, 1999,  Angela Hume; father, Lindel Hume of Princeton; daughters, Ashley Suzanne Hume at home, Ashley Nicole Hume of Princeton: son, Joshua Aaron Hume at home; sister Deborah Beck of Princeton; one grandchild, Ethan Alexander Hume; 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Hume in 2010.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday Feb. 24, 2017 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev.  Andrew Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Montgomery Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home. Masonic memorial services will be held  7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Church of the Nazarene Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.colvinfuneralhome.com.
