Trevaun L. Sillery, 90, of Princeton, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home. He was born October 4, 1926 in Wabash, Indiana to the late NeDean Sillery and Elizabeth (Morse) Sillery. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. He devoted his life to others and was a true servant of God, teaching Sunday school and working in bus ministry among many other duties in church. He was a member of First General Baptist Church in Princeton. He retired in 1988 from Olin Brass Co.

Trevaun is survived by his 3 children, Rosie Gott of Indianapolis, Jerry Sillery (Connie) of Kingsport, TN and Tina Hurst (Johnny) of Princeton; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Louise (Rader) Sillery in 1994; 2 daughters, Shirley Stratton and Pam Whitlow; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Whitaker, Karen Whitaker Shrewsberry and Renea Campbell; 2 great grandchildren, Virginia Campbell and Bryson Popplewell; a brother, Donald Sillery and a sister, Margaret Boswell.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. CDT Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 N. Main Street, Princeton, IN 47670.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. EDT Friday, August 4, 2017, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, 602 E. Washington, Greencastle, IN 46135, with Rev. Gary Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle. Military honors will be conducted.

Memorial contributions may be made to First General Baptist Church-Building Fund, 2101 E. Broadway, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home. You may leave a message of sympathy or light a memorial candle at www.colvinfuneralhome.com.
