Bill Clinton Anthis, 94, of Patoka, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born October 4, 1926 in Patoka to the late George W. Anthis and Safrona (Morrison) Anthis and proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Patricia (Weaver) Anthis on May 23, 1952 and they’ve been blessed with 68 years together. He worked in Fort Wayne as a school administrator for a number of years after receiving his Doctor’s Degree in education. Bill was a past master of the Columbia Lodge, a member of the Gibson County Chamber of Commerce, and served as the past Commander in Chief for the Scottish Rite Indiana.
Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia Anthis of Patoka; son, Clinton Weaver (Sharon) of Patoka; and granddaughter, Bethney Anthis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Anthis; and sister-in-law, Karen Anthis.
A private family viewing will be held. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 29, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka officiated by Reverend Kenneth Armitage. The Retired Military Veterans will conduct full military honors at the cemetery.
