Alice Elizabeth Knight Foster departed this life and entered eternal life with Christ at the age of 92 on August 1, 2018. Alice was born October 28, 1925 to parents Arthur and Lily Knight. She was married to Joe Foster on October 29, 1943 shortly before he departed for Europe during WWII. Alice and Joe celebrated over 72 years of marriage before his death in 2014. They had three children: Beth (Dean) Flaris of Fishers, IN, Bruce (Shirley) Foster of Haubstadt, IN, and Matthew (Teresa) Foster of Princeton, IN. They were blessed with five grandchildren: Nathan Flaris, Stephanie Thacker, Jason Foster, Joshua Foster, and Justin Foster and several great-grandchildren. She was beloved by all.
Alice was a wonderful artist, baker, teacher, friend, and spiritual counselor to many. She was an accomplished artist and tinted professional photographs for many years. She was also known as a baker extraordinaire. Most importantly, she taught Sunday school at the First General Baptist Church in Princeton, IN and loved to share her faith and pray with others.
Funeral services will be held at Colvin’s Funeral Home in Princeton, IN on Monday, August 6 at 11 a.m. with burial following at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
