Billy Norrick Obituary

Billy L. Norrick, 88, of Oakland City, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. He was born November 9, 1929 in Oakland City to Hilbert and Mable (Corn) Norrick. He graduated from Oakland City High School in 1947. He moved to Colorado Springs, CO then came back to Oakland City in 2004. He was a retired security guard with Owens Detective Agency and previously worked for Southern Railroad and was a part time mail carrier for Oakland City Post Office. He was a member of the Oakland City Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed sports-basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Estle Norrick of Oakland City; sons, Jeffrey Norrick (Janet) of Princeton and Gregory “Frog” Norrick of Oakland City; daughter, Christi McCullan (Randy) of Vincennes; grandchildren, Seth Norrick (Annette), Tyler Norrick (Rebecca) and Angela Coats (Brad); 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Sharon Simmons (Jack) of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glenn Norrick; and a sister, Sue Wallace.

Graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City, officiated by Rev. Darin Nossett. No visistation. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City has been entrusted with arrangements.
