Doris J. (Buck) Benton

Doris J. Benton, 74, of Buckskin, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at River Pointe Health Campus in Evansville. She was born December 30, 1943 in Warrick County to the late Bruce G. and June Barbara (Rhoades) Buck. Doris was a homemaker and had resided in the Somerville and Buckskin area most of her lifetime. She loved gardening and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Doris is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Benton; 4 children, Michael F. Benton (Julie) of Buckskin, Christine C. Benton of Buckskin, Ronda K. Wade (Jeff) of Elberfeld and Todd E. Benton of Buckskin; 4 grandchildren, Errol Benton, Chloe Wade, Daisie Benton and Brady F. Benton; 2 brothers, Allen Buck (Louise) of Buckskin and Alva Buck (LuAnn) of Fort Branch; 1 sister, Sharon Englehardt (Larry) of Buckskin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Priscilla Buck and a brother, Norman Buck.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. John's Cemetery in Buckskin, with Rev. Bill Reed officiating. Burial will follow. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City has been entrusted with arrangements.
