Doris Mae (Tegmeyer) McDaniel

Doris Mae McDaniel, 88, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born in Pike County on April 17, 1930 to Hight and Leah (Kays) Tegmeyer. She had lived in the Oatsville area most of her life, graduating from Petersburg High School in 1948. She had worked as a dietitian at Gibson General Hospital for 26 years. Doris was a member of the Church of Christ in Princeton.

Doris is survived by her son, Keith McDaniel of Oatsville; grandsons, Jeremy McDaniel of Evansville and Josh McDaniel (Marianne) of Oatsville; granddaughter, Kara McDaniel of Princeton; great grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan, & Jaylynn McDaniel; brother, Larry Tegmeyer of Petersburg; and sisters, Wilma Rumble (Carroll) of Fishers and Mary Traylor (Bill) of Petersburg.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Marvin McDaniel; son, John McDaniel; and brother, William Tegmeyer.

Funeral service will be at 10 am, Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Wednesday, March 6th at the funeral home.
