Ellen Y (Bishop) Roach

Ellen Y. (Bishop) Roach, 70, passed away, Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Parkview Nursing Home, in Evansville, IN. She was born in Patoka, IN on August 24, 1948, to the late Leonard “Beanie” and Goldie (McCrary) Bishop. Ellen had worked at the Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce, Princeton, IN, for many years and in Carmel, IN for a construction company. She enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards, and cooking.

Surviving are a son, Ben Roach, of Fargo, North Dakota; 2 grandsons, Isaiah and Frank Roach of North Dakota; 2 brothers, James (Jeanne) Bishop and Don Eugene (Donna) Bishop all of Patoka; 5 nieces, Francie Bishop, Monica (Chris) Bryant, Sandra (Chris) Goldman, Anna (Tracy) Henderson and Mary (Brian) Williams; 3 nephews, Marty Bishop, Robert Vaughn (Sharon) and Donnie (Stephanie) Bishop; and 18 great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ellen in death were her parents; 2 sisters, Annalee Bishop and Madeline Moyer; 2 brothers, Jack and Vaughn Bishop.

A Graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka. Colvin Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements and is honored to serve Ellen’s family.
