Flossie Ann (Clarkston) Johnson

Flossie Ann Johnson, 88, of Petersburg and formerly of Patoka, where she had lived for many years, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at her home. She was born July 22, 1930 in Casey County, KY to the late Willie and Ethel (Downs) Clarkston. She met the love of her life at age 13 and then later married Orbie E. Johnson and they were blessed with 62 years together before his passing on December 4, 2010. She attended Oasis Assembly of God in Princeton. She enjoyed family, cooking for family and friends on Sundays, spring flowers and shopping.

Flossie is survived by her 8 children, Charlene Marvel, Gene Johnson, John Johnson, Carl Johnson, Dale Johnson, Orbie Johnson, Jr., Billy Johnson, and Sondra Lewis; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Carver; and dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and infant daughter, Colleen Ann Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Friday, April 26, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Indiana, officiated by Pastor Jim Gidcumb. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. CDT Thursday, April 25th at the funeral home.
