Harold Eugene "Gene" Frederick

Harold Eugene “Gene” Frederick, 84, of Hazleton, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his home. He was born in Hazleton on August 8, 1935 to the late Freemond Harold Frederick and Daisy (Woods) Frederick and lived in the area all his life. Gene worked as a truck driver owning and operating several trucks over the years. He also worked as a coal miner. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family. He was loved and will be missed.

Gene is survived by his wife, Sue (Robb) Frederick; children, Dennis Frederick (Rozena), Debra Kuhlman (Terry), Darwin Frederick, Donald Frederick, Christina Bottoms (Randy), and Rachel Byrns; siblings, Kathryn Stewart (Wayne), Diana Fluesche (Joe), Glenda Hope, Mabel Adkins (Harold), Lynn Frederick (Jackie), Kevin Frederick (Brenda), Monte Frederick (Sheila), and Muggs Frederick (Sandy); 7 grandchildren, Derrick (Melissa), Stuart (Missy), Christopher (Desiree), and Brandon (Ashley) Frederick, Vanessa Radosevich (Carlos), Allison Shore, and Justin  Byrns; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Cheryl Theriac, and Malvern, Ron, Eldon, and Herman Frederick; and a stepson, Jerry Pugh.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 9 until 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the funeral home followed by a procession to the Hazleton Community Cemetery for a graveside funeral service officiated by Chuck Longabaugh.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Hospice located at 601 S. 9th St., Vincennes, IN 47591. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
