Harry K. Higginson

Harry K. Higginson, 85, of Haubstadt, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. He was born February 21, 1934 in Wabash Township, IN to Irvin and Nina (Nottingham) Higginson. He was the owner/operator of Higginson Oil and Market and was a Gibson County Entrepreneur. Harry was also an avid I.U. Fan.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Buck) Higginson of Haubstadt; 3 children, Kim Higginson (Carolyn) of Poseyville, Mark Higginson (Pam) of Haubstadt and Sheri Seaton (Matt) of Haubstadt; 10 grandchildren, Shannon Schickel (Shane), Stephanie Campbell (John), Brad, Kellen (Rachelle), Kordon and Kameron Higginson, Ashtin, Arika, Hunter and Hadley Seaton; and 8 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Duane and Eldon Higginson; 2 sisters, Margaret Blaylock and Ruth Vire; and a great grandchild, Makynlee Higginson.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Mackey Salem United Methodist Church, with Pastor Matt Malin and Dr. Scott Stephans officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Buckskin. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 pm on Thursday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City and from noon until service time on Friday at the church.
