James C. Schupp, 73, of Princeton, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at home. He was born on December 4, 1946 in Chicago, IL to George E. and Dorothy (Kowarsch) Schupp. He lived in Princeton most of his life. James was a senior tool designer at Potter & Brumfield/Seimens, working there for over 30 years. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He attended Princeton Church. He served on the Miller Cemetery Board of Trustees and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fly fishing and arrowhead hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cathy (Williams) Schupp of Princeton; 5 children, James E. Schupp (Vicki) of Princeton, Renee Phillips (Rollin) of Patoka, Leah Murnahan of Owensville, Erik R. Schupp (Kelli) of Haubstadt and Timmy Johnson (Amanda) of Princeton; 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Eastham of Boonville, Susan Sisson and Becky Greer, both of Florida and Georgia McEllhiney of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a granddaughter; and brother, John Schupp.
Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Wayne Wester and Floyd Williams. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Oatsville. Visitation will be from 10 am-1 pm on Friday at Colvin Funeral Home. Military graveside services by Retired Military Veterans.
