Janet Carr Obituary

Janet Marie Carr, 75, of Oakland City, passed away surrounded by her family, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, IN. She was born April 9, 1943 in Oakland City, and had lived in the community her entire lifetime.  She was retired and had worked in the dietary department at the former Holiday Manor in Princeton and then lastly at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City. She loved cooking and was an excellent cook. She also loved vegetable and flower gardening. One of her greatest joys was helping raise her grandson. 

She is survived by her husband that she married on November 26, 1960, Ford Carr of Oakland City; a son, Alan Carr (Francine) of Oakland City; and her grandson, Justin Alan Carr (Baylee) of Oakland City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Fern (Jones) O’Neal

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
