Jean McGregor was simply one of the kindest, loveliest people I have ever known. When I was just a girl in my early twenties, I worked for Bill Marshall in an office in the same building where Jean and Loren had an office. They were always there for me if I had a question, needed some help or simply wanted to stop by and say hello. I loved their stories about taking the train to Chicago to watch their beloved "Cubbies" and their annual trips to watch the Kentucky Derby. Jean always talked about her daughter whom she lovingly referred to as their "kid." I still remember them with much love and gratitude and will until the day I die. Bless you Jean and Loren for serving as examples as to how we should all conduct ourselves and live our lives.

As a child I knew her as Jeanne Mac as she & Loren lived next to my Grandparents Elmer & Jean Hicks!
My Grandfather was a Shovel operator at Blackfoot Coal Company and his Supervisor was Jeanne Mac's brother Lee Morrison.
Lee & his wife were my Sunday School teachers & of course Jeanne was a devote member of our First General Baptist Church in Oakland City, Indiana. They were so proud of their daughter and her husband.
We all were the best of friends and neighbors! Loren was an IU graduate we all shared our love of IU Basketball & the Cubs! We fortunately got IU Basketball Tix when they were unable to attend.
Love Ya Jeanne Mac, you're back home sweetie!

Jeanne Mac was a great neighbor for many years to my grandparents, then my mom and always a good friend of the family. She will be remembered as being passionate about her Cubs and IU teams.
May God bless her soul in heaven.

I am so grateful I got the opportunity to get to know Mrs Jean. It was a pleasure knowing her and her nieces, Rita and Joan. I will never forget you all and I give you all my love and prayers at this time.

I remember Jean from seeing her in the court house, She always wore such pretty pins and I am glad she got to see her Cubs win.
