Kenneth A. Huebner Jr. 72 of Francisco passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at his home. He was born in Evansville, Nov. 14, 1944 to Kenneth and Dolly (Stiles) Huebner. Kenny had lived in Francisco since 1958, moving there from Somerville. He retired from Whirlpool in 2004, after working there for 39 years. He worked in maintenance, tool shed and material control. He graduated from Francisco High School in 1962. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965 in Germany, during the Vietnam War. Kenny was a Charter Member of the Francisco Gospel Ministry Church. He had been a member of the Francisco Lions Club since 1973, serving as a District Governor in 1983-1984. He received a Melvin Jones Fellow Award, four Presidential Citations, and seven Club Extensions Awards. He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Francisco; 2 daughters, Sherilyne Drew (Quentin) of Oakland City and Kathryn Huebner of Evansville; brother, Michael Huebner and sister, LaDonna Christy (Barney) of Florida; 8 grandchildren, Robbie Hamilton II (Mary), Tyler and Michelle McIntire, Justin Rogers, Ashley, Jamie and Allen Doris and Nathan McIntire; and 14 great grandchildren. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herbert Joe, James O. Sr., and John E.; and sister, Mary Mitchell. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Francisco Gospel Ministry Church with Rev. Bob McDonald and Rev. Rex Charles officiating. Burial will follow in the Francisco Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. There will be a Lions Club Memorial Service and walk thru at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans. Memorial contributions may be made to the Francisco Gospel Ministry Church or to the Francisco Lions Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
