On August 13, 2019, Ramon (Ray) Lee Cox passed away at his residence in Princeton Indiana from heart failure. He was born on January 4, 1959 in Mount Carmel Illinois to Robert E. Cox Sr and Ruby L. (McRaven) Cox.
Ray was an avid sports fan and spent many hours studying sport statistics. He enjoyed talking to his multiple friends online and keeping in touch with his family.
Ray is survived by his two brothers, Robert E. (Shirley) Cox Jr of Collegeville PA and Ronald D. (Lynn) Cox of Loogootee IN; and by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. & Ruby L. Cox Sr. and a sister, Ruth Ann Braselton.
Ray graduated from P.C.H.S. in 1977. In school, he was an excellent athlete and excelled as pitcher and hitter in baseball and a nose guard and kicker in Football. He graduated from Wabash Valley College with a business degree and had a paralegal degree out of Vincennes University. A Celebration of Ray's Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home, Princeton, IN. There will be a gathering of family and friends to visit from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home. The family will have a private memorial in Mobile, Alabama on Labor Day weekend.
