Robert "Bob" Gray Obituary

Robert “Bob” Gray, 87, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville. He was born in Keensburg, Illinois to parents, Ralph and Vena (Jenkins) Gray on May 5, 1932. He worked for 25 years as a car salesman and another 25 years for Wal-Mart. He attended Mount Tabor Church and was a member of the Prince Lodge Local #231. He was a Hadi Temple member in Evansville for 40 years, was in the Scottish Rite and York Rite. He was a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion, the Sons of American Legion, and the Gibson County Conservation Club. He was an associated member of the F.O.P and a past member of the Elks Lodge. Bob enjoyed fishing and was animal lover. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his son, Dennis Gray; grandchildren, Jerry (Jill) Wilkinson; Greg Wilkinson, Nick (Anne) Gray, and Greta (Jerry) Carner; great-grandchildren, Parker (Chloe) Wilkinson, Grady Wilkinson, Trenton Wilkinson, Emily (Tim) Haug, Katie Queen, John Dyer, Kortney (Taylor) Howze, Kristal Besing, Elliot Gray, Grace Gray, and Isabella Gray; great-great-grandchildren, Oliver Haug, Daniel Haug, Lura Haug, Ethan Queen, Ellie Queen, Conner Dyer, Grayson Howze, Karson Howze, Mya Besing, and Axle Franklin; and siblings, Virginia Boutwell of Indianapolis and Hughes “Doc” Gray of Georgia. A special thanks to Rebecca Rosenblatt, Patty Robinson, Katie Queen, Dr. Patel, and his Nurse, Shirley for extraordinary care Bob received.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty (Ward) Gray; son, Michael Gray; grandson, Shane Gray; and three brothers, Jerry, John, and Griff Gray.  

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Warnock Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be held from 4 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. A masonic memorial will be held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home by the Prince Lodge #231.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children located at P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438 or to Gibson County Animal Services located at P.O. Box 474, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
