Sherry L. Green

Sherry L. Green, 57, of Oakland City passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born August 22, 1961 in Princeton to parents, Ronald L. & Darlene M. (Holder) Doerner. She married Ronald “Ron” Green on August 14, 1992 in Kentucky and they were blessed with 26 years together.

Sherry was a homemaker and took loving care of her family. She was extremely active at Somerville Wesleyan Church where she also volunteered her time with their school. At church, she loved singing together with her family by her side and enjoyed drawing pictures for Bible School. She was very fond of Art and had a good steady drawing hand.

Sherry is survived by her parents, Ronald & Darlene Doerner; husband, Ronald Green Jr of Oakland City; children, Claude Green (Tara) of Petersburg, Brandy Ellerbruck of Somerville, Ronald Green,III (Shannon) of Kokomo, Josh Green (Kelly) of Oakland City, Ashley Ellerbruck (Bryan) of Lynnville, and Devon Green (Amber) of Elberfeld; 14 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Brett Doerner (Debbie) of Spurgeon, Mike Doerner of Coe, and Mark Doerner of Oakland City; sister-in-law, Ramona Hammel; brother-in-law, Rodney Green, mother and father-in-law, Ronald and Raydene Green, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Joseph Ellerbruck; grandson, Noah Jackson Green; maternal grandparents, Haskill E. & Sophia Holder; and paternal grandparents, Beverly Auto & Audrey Doerner.

Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Somerville Wesleyan Church. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home has been entrusted with assisting the family.
