Sylvia W. "Tibby" (Walker) DeBord

Sylvia W. “Tibby” DeBord, 86, of Princeton, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at her home. She was born February 9, 1933 in Princeton. Tibby was the co-owner/operator, since 1966 of DeBord Greenhouse in Princeton with her husband and 2 sons.

She is survived by her son, Larry DeBord of Princeton; her daughter-in-law, Monica DeBord of Hazleton; 4 grandchildren, Kyle DeBord (Heather) of Princeton, Lindsey DeBord Walden (Stephen) of Princeton, Nathan DeBord (Vanessa) of Owensville and Leah DeBord (Calvin King) of Hazleton; 4 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; her special granddog, Dukie; also, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Edward Walker, when she was a very young age; her mother and step father, Beatrice and Bill Green; a sister, Helen Leach; a great grandson, Peyton DeBord on May 20, 2016; a son, Mark DeBord on January 2, 2018; and her husband of 66 years, Ralph B. DeBord on January 18, 2018.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. Friday at Colvin Funeral Home.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Salvation Army, P. O. Box 1258, Princeton, IN 47670 or First General Baptist Church, 2101 E.
