He took a short course at Purdue University. He was a charter member of the Mt. Olympus Lions Club and a lifetime member of Mt. Olympus Community Center and served on the board many years. He also was on the board of trustees of Washington Township for 20 years. He was a farmer and school bus driver for Mt. Olympus and North Gibson 8 years. He worked as a truck driver for the Gibson County Highway Department for 17 years. After he retired, he worked for the Heidenreich Farm getting parts as needed. He attended Mt.
