William G. “Bill” Hunt, 47, of Fort Branch, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at home. He was born on May 7, 1972 in Princeton, IN to Gary W. and Rebecca (Hitch) Hunt. Bill was a member of the PCHS Class of 1990 and attended USI. He had lived in Fort Branch for 24 years moving from Princeton. He worked as a lab technician for the City of Princeton. He was a member and Past Master of Prince Masonic Lodge #231 and he was a member and past President of the Gibson County Fair Board. He received a Grand Cross from the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in Indiana. He also coached the Junior Titans Golf team.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Schmits) Hunt of Fort Branch, whom he married June 7, 1997; mother, Becky Hunt of Princeton; daughters, Alexandria & Hannah Hunt, both at home; brother, Pete Hunt of Newburgh; father-in –law and mother-in-law, Robert & Sharon Schmits of Francisco.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary W. Hunt.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Jarmon Perkins. Burial will follow at Archer Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home. Masonic memorial services will be held at 7 pm on Thursday.
