A. Bruce Fisher

A. Bruce Fisher, 81, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the RiverOaks Health Campus in Princeton.  He was born November 19, 1944 in Butler, PA to Arthur Eugene and Muriel (Neely) Fisher. Bruce was retired after working as a Mine Accounting Manager for Peabody Coal for over 20 years.

Bruce had lived in Princeton since 1998 previously living in Boonville and Sullivan. He served as Patoka Township Trustee for over 3 years finishing out a term of the previous Trustee.  He attended the Bethel Memorial Church, was an avid golfer and a member of the Princeton Country Club. Bruce enjoyed woodworking and in his younger years he enjoyed playing tennis. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and having family gatherings.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Ronica “Ronnie” Fisher to whom he married March 6, 1965; son, Vance Fisher of Evansville; daughter, Traci Flater (Bob) of Patoka; grandchildren, Brittnee Fisher, Jordan Kappen (Zach), and Torey Singh (Anmolpreet); great grandchildren, Bryson Fisher and Avery Kappen.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Sherry Fisher in 2025.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia White Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
