Agnes E. (Greene) Chavis, 82, of Princeton, IN was born January 23, 1942 in Princeton to the late Rollin Greene Sr. and Evaglene, where she resided her whole life until God called her to home December 22, 2024. She loved having family around all the time along with many friends. Agnes was an excellent cook and one of her two favorite things that she made was her macaroni and cheese and her peach cobbler. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Agnes played women’s softball and loved going to bingo. As hard as she played, she worked even harder at several places such as; Whirlpool for many years and Amax Coal Co. for over 20 years until her health declined. Agnes was a giver and caregiver for her mother, husband, and sister for several years. She was a 60+ year member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Agnes loved her church and church family, where she served as church clerk, secretary, usher board member, and community usher. No matter when you called, she would answer and be there for you. Anges will truly be missed by many.
