Alan Stuckey Obituary

Alan H. Stuckey, 78, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at RiverOaks Health Campus due to complications following a stroke. He was born October 16, 1942 to the late Orrin and Barbara (Burbank) Stuckey and grew up in Oakland City.

Alan worked at Mid-States Rubber in Princeton and Warehousing, Inc. in Evansville before being employed for 34 years with Southern Railway/Norfolk Southern as a brakeman/conductor until his retirement in 2010. While with the railroad, he served as President of his UTU Local #490 for 12 years.

Alan was an avid runner commonly seen at the old PCHS track and enjoyed riding his bicycle throughout Gibson County. Besides exercising, he also enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers, especially #14 Tony Stewart.

Alan’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna (Patterson) Stuckey; daughter, Tiffany Johnson (Mark) of Chesterfield, MO; son, Marcus Stuckey of Dallas, TX; special “oldest son”, Don Colvin (Sharon) of Patoka; two granddaughters, Alexis and Morgan Johnson; grand dog, Apollo; brother, Roger Stuckey (Susan) of Winslow; nephew, Ryan Stuckey (Brook) of Newburgh; and other nieces and nephews, Rachel Myers, Ryan Spindler, Sherri Mason and Stacy Kerstein.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Steven; and nephew, Kyle Stuckey.

Per his wishes, no memorial services will be held. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with arrangements.
