Angela Denise Goins Kimbrew, 64, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born June 1, 1961, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to Murray Kenneth Goins and Elsie Jones Goins. Angela lived in Princeton and Evansville Indiana.
She graduated from Princeton Community High School in 1979, where she loved to play in the state championship band. Angela attended both Wabash Valley College and Vincennes University. After attending college, she moved to Evansville. Angela worked as a Customer Service Representative for Atlas Vann Lines and CenterPoint Energy, formerly Vectren. She retired from CenterPoint Energy in 2024 after 18+ years of service. During her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Angela cherished the moments when she attended her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. She liked taking vacations, especially to the beach. Angela attended Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church at Lyles Station during her earlier years and attended St. James Church in Evansville during her later years.
Angela was blessed to be survived by three daughters, Andrea (Clarence) Smalling of Newport News, VA, Kayla (Ross II) Loyal, of Evansville, IN, and Kendra Kimbrew of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Trenton Smalling, Trevor Smalling, Jade Loyal, Ross Loyal III; and sister, Cheryl (Jonathan) Goins Walden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edward Goins; and granddaughter, Jayelynn Loyal.
A funeral service will be held 1PM Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Gatson officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery near Lyles Station in Princeton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 11AM until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church, Lyles Station, or Joshua Academy; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
