Anna Lee Bailey, 92, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born October 14, 1927 in Princeton to the late Lonie S. and Ethel (Gentry) Burns. She had resided in Louisville since 2005, coming from Princeton and formerly of Francisco. During her lifetime, she enjoyed bowling, sewing, hand crafts and gardening. She and her late husband were in the Laundromat business for many years and she retired from Disney World, where she was a seamstress.
Anna is survived by a son, Phillip Michael Bailey (Patricia) of Lawrenceburg, KY; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Bader (John) of Louisville; a grandson, John George “Johnny” Bader III of Louisville; a brother, James Burns of Francisco; and a sister, Edna Boswell of Raleigh, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Bailey in 1976; and siblings, Mary Scarlett, Delta Harvey, Margarett Garett and Wendell Burns.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Dr. Katheryn Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Francisco Cemetery in Francisco. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday at Colvin’s.
