Aubrey Von Smith

Aubrey Von Smith, 73, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville.  He was born September 30, 1949 in Princeton to Robert Von and Rubye (Faulkner) Smith. 

Aubrey had lived in Princeton all of his life. He graduated from Princeton High School and retired from Snap-On Tools in Mt. Carmel, IL where he worked for 27 years.   He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1975 in Libya during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed collecting Military items of all types. 

He is survived by a niece, Angela Jo Turpin (Derek) of Evansville; great niece Allie Jo Burnett and great nephew, Robert Jeremy Smith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Randall Dean Smith; sister, Nona Smith; and brother, Mickey Dean Smith.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside at 11 am on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Clark Cemetery near Owensville. Burial will follow the service. Military rites will be provided by Retired Military Veterans.  There will be no public visitation. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
