Austin M. Shamsaie, 31, of Princeton, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at his home. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 16, 1993 to Shayegan and Shelly (McDonald) Shamsaie.
Austin lived in Princeton most of his life and graduated from PCHS in 2012, where he played soccer for 4 years, along with travel soccer. He participated in the school drama plays, and was a Homecoming King. Austin attended I.U.P.U.I studying Bio-Medical Engineering. He was a gamer, enjoyed skateboarding, dirt biking, and skydiving, things that some people might think were slightly dangerous. He enjoyed working with his hands, checking things out to see how they worked.
Austin is survived by his mother, Shelly Shamsaie and his father, Shayegan Shamsaie both of Princeton; brother, Shayan Shamsaie (Amanda) of Fishers; niece Rylie Shamsaie; grandmother, Parvaneh Moshfegh of Iran; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold McDonald, and Helen and Bill Schmidt; paternal grandfather, Mohammed Ali Shamsaie; and uncle, Ronald W. McDonald.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
