Barbara Wade Obituary

Barbara Jean Wade, 82, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Transcendent Healthcare in Owensville. She was born September 3, 1943 in Hazleton to the late Chester Beadle and Vernice (Carrie) Beadle and worked for Hansen Manufacturing. Barbara lived in Gibson County her whole life. She enjoyed playing on bowling leagues in her younger years and fishing. Her greatest joy was her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Cox) Gee and her husband, Louis; grandchildren, Stacey Jackson (Robert E.), Courtney Dowling (Tyler), and Aaron Kimmell (Agatha); great-grandchildren, Robert Terrayl Jackson, Dexter Dowling, and Oliver Dowling; sister, Betty Brackin; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Anthony “Tony” Cox; brother, Wayne “Peachy” Beadle; sisters, Veva Miller and Glenna Westfall. 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Curtis Beadle officiating. Interment will follow at Hazleton Community Cemetery in Hazleton. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
