Bernard D. "Wayne" Selby

Bernard D. “Wayne” Selby, 59, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 30, 1962 to the late Bernard T. Selby and Wanda Mae (Padget) Selby and worked as a truck driver for 35 years. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 25. Wayne was an avid sprint car fanatic and was seen in the pits every weekend there was a race. He was very loving and cared for his family and friends, especially his kids and grandkids. Wayne was a jokester, but he was patient and kind enough to give the shirt off his back. Although the shirt Wayne would give would never have sleeves. His family will always remember his unique clothing style of no sleeves and shorts all year around. Wayne also enjoyed working the garden and loved his dog, Ollie. He was dearly loved and will be missed.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sue Selby; children, Angela Moore (Mike) and Sara Marcum (Michael); grandchildren, McKenzie Moore, Hannah Moore, Ashton Marcum, Bella Marcum, and Caden Marcum; siblings, Annette Wright (Mike), Kenny Selby (Suellen), Cindy Selby, Bob Selby (Beth), Cody Selby (Debbie), first cousins, Bill and Susan Jo Poyner; nieces, Jessica, Katie, and Whitney; and special friend, Michael Hayes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.

A memorial celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Full military honors will be held at the funeral home. A gathering of family and friends will be held an hour prior from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
