Betty Lou Kolb, 86, of Princeton went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was born January 29, 1940 in West Salem, Illinois to the late Donald Chester Walker and Sarah Madge (Stover) Walker and worked as a secretary for the telephone company for over 20 years. Betty was a dedicated member of New Life Church of the Nazarene in Princeton for over 60 years. She loved reading her bible and praying and was known for being a great cook and baker, often donating her food and baked good to the church or friends. She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed helping others. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Neena (Sharrett) Livermore and husband, Bob of Princeton and Darla (Sharrett) Karnes and husband, Allan of Carbondale, Illinois; grandchildren, Travis Livermore (Priscilla), Tyson Livermore (Hannah), Zachary Treece, and Jackson Treece; great-grandchildren, Gabrial Ray, Arthur, Kaisynn, Wesley, and Charlie Livermore, and Isaac and Sara Mendiguren; step-children, Steve Kolb (Beverly) and Karen Kittinger (Randy) both of Madisonville, Kentucky; step-grandchildren, Ryan (Wendy), Don Michael, Alicia (Jason), Wesley (MacKenzie), and Laura (Travis); and numerous step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Sue Ibbotson and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents; Betty was preceded in death by her first husband and father of their children, Tom Sharrett; second husband of 25 years, Robert Kolb that passed in December 2000; stepsons, Douglas and Brian Kolb; and her brother, Daryll Walker.
The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Donnie Truelock officiating. Visiting hours will be held from 10 until service time Saturday.
