Betty Lucille (Sharp) Lepeau, 95, of Oakland City, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born April 10, 1930 in Somerville to the late Eugene Sharp and Avis (Jenkins) Sharp and graduated high school from Mackey. She married the love of her life, Jack Lepeau in October of 1953 in Shawneetown, Illinois and spent the length of her life living in the Gibson County area. Betty was a member of Somerville Wesleyan Church and Grace Fellowship Church and was a wonderful caregiver, grandma, and great-grandma to her children and great-grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children, Nancy Jones (Lawrence), Penny Livermore (Bill), Sarah Lepeau, David Lepeau, and Andrew Lepeau (SukCha); grandchildren, Amber Cook, Brittany Heeman, Jackie Kinsey, Jessica Lepeau, Jamie McNeely, and Theodore Lepeau; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Sharp; several nieces and nephews; and 2 sisters-in-law, Judith Sharp and Lyla Sharp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, George E. Sharp, Russell Sharp, Kenneth Sharp, and Robert Sharp; and sister, Elizabeth Nelson.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Somerville Community Cemetery in Somerville. A celebration of Betty's life will follow at Grace Fellowship Church in Princeton.
