Betty S. Purkiser, 90, of Francisco, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville. She was born July 1, 1931 in McCutchanville. She had resided in the Francisco area since 1953 and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church near Fort Branch. She retired as an inspector at Hansen Corporation after 47 years.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Brenda Donohoo (Dan) of Lynnville, Charlet Georges (Ron) of Elberfeld, Faye Williamson (Paul) of Fort Branch, Laura Brummett of Fort Branch and Danita Cooper (Bob) of Sullivan; 21 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; and sister, Dixie Barrett of Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Heinlin; mother, Christine (Clary) Likens; husband, Jack B. Purkiser; sons, Stephan and Jack A. Purkiser; and two brothers.
A funeral service will be held at the graveside at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022 at St. Bernards Cemetery near Fort Branch with Father Gary Kaiser officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 13th at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
