Billie Wildt Obituary

Billie J. (Burkhart) Wildt, 69, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at home. She was born on October 3, 1951 in Mounds, IL. She had lived in Princeton most of her life after moving from Illinois. She married Michael Wildt on May 11, 1973 and they were together 45 years. Billie was the owner and operator of Shear Magic Beauty Salon for the last 28 years. She enjoyed running her business and spending time with family.

Billie is survived by her two daughters, Cara Coomer and Cathy Childers, both of Princeton; three grandchildren, Taylor Risley, Logan Halbig and Ravyn Coomer; four great grandchildren; sister, Jeannie Lawn of Princeton; brothers, Johnny Burkhart of Memphis, TN and Jeffrey Burkhart of Princeton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael on February 3, 2019; mother, Carolyn Tolbert on May 26, 2020; father, William Burkhart; brothers, James, William & Michael Burkhart; and stepfather, William “Buddy” Tolbert.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton with Rev. Anthony Frankum officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements. Due to COVID-19 regulations, social distancing and masks are required.
