Bobby Joe “BJ” Fears II, 61, of Hazleton, IN passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024 at The Timbers of Jasper. He was born in Washington, IN March 10, 1963 to Bobby Joe Fears and Linda Lee (Hale) Fears. BJ was in the 1981 graduating class of Princeton High School. He furthered his education by earning an Associate’s Degree from Wabash Valley College and Bachelor’s degree from Oakland City University BJ worked as a fork truck operator at Green Metals for many years. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the LA Dodgers and IU Basketball. BJ liked playing golf in years past. He especially loved riding his Harley motorcycle.
BJ was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Fears.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Lee Fears of Petersburg, IN; brother, Michael (Angela) Fears of Mt. Olympus, IN; nieces, Alissa (James) Wallace of Allen, TX and Hannah Fears of Scottsdale, AZ; nephew, Eli Fears of Mt. Olympus, IN
A funeral service will be held at the graveside in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, 6338 IN-65, Hazleton, IN 47640 near Mt. Olympus, IN Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mitch Breidenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow the services there. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
