Bobby “Bob” Floyd Bean, 81, of Patoka, IN passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was born April 5, 1944 in Dos Palace, California to the late Preston Bean and Juanita (Upton) Brasuell. Bob married the love of his life, Ruthie “Louise” (Birge), August 20, 1963. They were blessed with 3 children and 62 years of marriage before his passing. Bob worked as a mechanic for several ranches in the California area. He later worked as a long-haul truck driver. Bob and Louise would make runs together often. He also would work on cars for family and friends, but never charged. Bob liked to work on and restore motorcycles and old cars. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time outside camping, fishing, boating, and hunting. Bob loved traveling and going on vacations with his family. He was a member of White River Baptist Church in Princeton. Bob will be remembered as a loving family man who had a wonderful sense of humor, was a true jokester, and loved the Lord. He will truly be missed by many.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Bean, and grandson, Austin Bean.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Bean, children, Bobby (Rebecca) Bean Jr., Corrina Faulkner, and Daniel (Michelle Anderson) Bean; grandchildren, Anthony, Cynthia, Elisa, Krystal, Megan, Ezra, Hannah, Preston, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Hayden, Daylen, Madelyn, Aiden, Haley, Aubrie, Beau, Noah, Finn, Elliot, and Dominic; sister, Patricia Cole; brother, Michael (Sandy) Bean; and sister-in-law, Beatrice Bean.
