Bonnie Satterfield Obituary

Bonnie Fay Satterfield, 69, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home. She was born on September 9, 1951 to the late Raymond and Geneva (Koerner) Ward in Princeton and married Robert Satterfield on April 5, 1975.

Bonnie was a sweet, kind and caring person who was adored by all who knew her. She looked for the good in everyone and her door was always open to family, friends or anyone who needed a hand. She loved each of her kids and grandkids unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with them. In April, Bonnie and Bob would have been married for 46 years. They were soulmates and best friends.

Bonnie liked playing cards for hours with her husband, talking on the phone and connecting with friends on Facebook. If you knew her, you know she loved her dog, Jake. They both enjoyed eating banana popsicles and potato chips together. She liked to travel. One of her favorite trips was a surprise vacation to Washington, D.C. and New York City in 2015. Earlier in life she took piano lessons and cake decorating classes. Bonnie had many small jobs throughout her life where she made a lot of friends. She was proud to have worked at John Hick’s Law Office and for her son, Jason at Quality Outdoor Products. These jobs weren’t for the money, but to be around people. Bonnie was a member of the Oasis Church in Princeton and loved the Lord with all her heart. She always said she couldn’t wait to get to Heaven and be with her mommy. We know she’s there now dancing with Jesus.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Robert Satterfield of Princeton; children, Donald Grubb, Regina Hardiman, Jason Satterfield (Emily) and Jana Blackwood (Chris); grandchildren, Jordan Hardiman, Terrance Hardiman (Shayna), Trinton Simmons, Shelby Satterfield, Andy Satterfield, Adreanna Blackwood, Alana Blackwood, Brandon Blackwood, Kris Willis (Jess), Danielle Neal (Aaron), Ryan Grubb (Kelsey), Katie Grubb, Cenzie Bobbitt and Ryland Rumble; great grandchildren, DeAubrey, Jersey, Nevaeh, Roman, Julius, CJ, Atlas and Asher; twin sister, Connie Schuh (Deny); brother, Don Ward (Dee); sisters-in-law, Jerrie Ward, Jeanie Stuessel (Gary), Ruth Stuessel, Joann Godwin and Wanda Farmer; and her beloved dog, Jake.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bill Ward, Judith Whitehouse, and Bob Ward; special nephew, Stephen Ward; and grandsons, Ethan and Logan Blackwood.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Oasis Assembly of God Church, 1104 S. Stout St., Princeton, IN  with Rev. Mike Marsh and Rev. John Spencer officiating.
