Branden Lee Winschief, 33, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born December 28, 1990 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Kevin and Janice Winschief and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 2009. Branden continued his education at Wabash Valley College and Oakland City University playing baseball and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in 2013. He was employed at Waste Management for 4 years as a heavy equipment operator. Branden loved his family dearly and loved to travel with them, especially to Wisconsin to watch his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. He will be missed beyond words.
Branden is survived by his loving wife of 4 years, Morgan Winschief of Princeton; daughter, Remington Winschief; parents, Kevin and Janice Winschief of Allendale, Illinois; brother, Tyler Winschief (Jennifer) of Charlestown, Indiana; grandfather, Ed Mills of Allendale, Illinois; and nephews, Sebastian Winschief, Luke Schafer, and Decker Schafer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Lila Winschief and his grandmother, Linda Mills.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow at White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visiting hours will be held from 4 until 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
