Brenda Ellis Obituary

Brenda Jane Ellis, 63, of Princeton passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.  Brenda was born January 22, 1963 in Vincennes to Lynn and Joyce (Watson) Ellis.

Brenda moved back to Princeton from Mt. Carmel in 2006. She graduated from Eldon High School in Eldon, MO in 1981 and was a part of the Beadle Bunch Relay for Life team.  She worked as a CNA and Home Health Care at Gibson General Hospital. Brenda loved spending time with her grandchildren who were very special to her. 

Brenda is survived by her sons, Jared Ellis of Princeton and Brandon Ellis (Kelsey) of Princeton; mother Joyce Ellis of Hazleton; grandchildren, Brayden, Antaun, Jamisyn, Juliana, and Joni Ellis, and Paxton and Bryson Ellis; siblings, Michelle Bray (Dwayne) of Indianapolis, Steven Ellis of Kansas City, MO, and Raymond Ellis (Emily) of Inverness, FL.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Ellis and sister, Lisa Ann Hauser.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Curt Beadle officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Hazleton Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
