C. Richard “Dick” Cartwright, 89 of Princeton passed away Saturday Feb. 3, 2018 at the home of his son in Princeton. He was born Aug. 5, 1928 in Alexandria, In to Fred and Edith (Norris) Cartwright.
Dick served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He moved to Princeton in 1961 from Anderson, IN and became the owner operator Michel Sales and Service car dealership in Princeton until 1981 until it was sold to Kranitz and Baker. He then went to work for the city of Princeton as an operator at the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Princeton until he retired in 1992. He maintained memberships in the V.F.W, Masonic Lodge and American Legion in Anderson and Alexandria.
Dick is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Gloria Cartwright of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty (McKee) Cartwright in 2011; his son Richard “Rick” Cartwright in 1997; a brother and a sister.
