Calvin L. Cooper

Calvin L. Cooper, 44, of Oakland City, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Oakland City. He was born on January 31, 1976 in Oakland City.  He lived in Oakland City all of his life.  He owned and operated Cooper Pavement Seal Coating. He was a member of the Oakland City/Columbia Township Fire Department. He enjoyed scuba diving, hunting and fishing.

Calvin is survived by his son, Colin Cooper of Oakland City; sister, Tammy Brown of Oakland City; grandfather, Arkie Cooper of Oakland City; nieces, Sabrina Gash and Brittney McQueen; nephew, Scott McQueen, Jr.; aunts & uncles; several great nieces and nephews; and fiancée, Heather Wilson of Oakland City.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Cooper; grandmother, Betty Cooper; and aunt, Mary McCandless.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Pastor Alan Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Due to state mandated COVID-19 regulations, there is a maximum of 25 people allowed inside the funeral home and at the graveside.
