Carl Lloyd Obituary

Carl Lloyd, 87, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born December 13, 1938 in Princeton to the late Aden Lloyd and Mable (Douglas) Lloyd. He worked at Princeton Farms for over 25 years and was a member of Princeton Holiness Tabernacle. Carl loved working in the garden and mowing. He enjoyed helping other people by mowing their yards too. He was loved and will be missed.

Carl is survived by his daughters, Joy Weston (Walter) of Princeton and Kathy Lee (Mike) of Oakland City; grandchildren, Aletha Schnelle (Jake) and Kody Lee; great-grandchildren, Layla Lee, Chase Schnelle, and Renesmae Schnelle; brothers, Jimmy Lloyd, Donnie Lloyd, Doug Lloyd, and Jerry Lloyd; sisters, Sandra Greathouse, Aline Farmer, Nellie Seaney, and Linda Wheeler; sisters-in-law, Janice Lloyd and Nina Lloyd; several nieces and nephews: and a dear friend, Wanda Smith.

Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Lloyd in 1997; a son, Kevin Lloyd; and brothers, Glen and Andy Lloyd.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Darrell Satterfield officiating. Interment will follow at Decker Cemetery in Patoka. Visiting hours will be from 4 until 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
