Carl Tinsley Obituary

Carl W. Tinsley, 75, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.  He was born January 23, 1950 in Princeton to James and Wanda (Morris) Tinsley.

Carl had lived in Owensville for the past four years moving there from Oakland City, where he lived for many years. He enjoyed collecting eagles, Indian artifacts and memorabilia. He also enjoyed collecting coins, going camping, fishing, watching western movies, and especially spending time with his family.

Carl is survived by his children, Chasity Krohe (Kevin) of Evansville, and Cory Tinsley, of Mt Carmel; grandchildren, Kris Krohe, Kouston Wilkison (Ruth), Dax Ewing, Alex, Corey, Kyler, Kleo, and Karter; great grandchildren, Isabella, Wayde and Lillian Wilkison; sisters, Rita Williams and Carla Vinson.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Terry, Vernon and Teresa Tinsley.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside at Columbia “White” Church Cemetery on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.  The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements and is honored to serve Carl’s family.
