Carol Faye Montgomery, 67, of Oakland City was called home Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was born August 21, 1958 in Evansville, IN to Henry “Jack” Brown and Mildred (McDowell) Brown. Carol graduated from Wood Memorial High School in 1976. She worked at Hansen's Manufacturing for 37 years before retiring in 2013. Carol married Keith Montgomery November 14, 2005 and was blessed with 20 years of marriage. Her and Keith are members of Clarks Chapel Church. Carol cared deeply for her church family and loved volunteering when she was able. She had a passion for crafting in her spare time. Carol enjoyed working with ceramics, wood, and paint. She had a special place in her heart for animals and was truly an animal lover. Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is loved my many and will be missed deeply.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Janet Sue Brown and Diann Enrietto .
She is survived by her husband, Keith Montgomery; children, Jason (Jen) Speedy, Jennifer (Andy)Stallings, and Bryan (Jill) Montgomery; grandchildren, Jack, Luke, and Sean Speedy, Luke (Jo) Stallings, Landon Stallings, Blake, Mason, and Creed Montgomery; 1 great-grandchild; and best friend that was like a sister, Cheryl Bryant.
A funeral service will be held 2 PM CST Friday, December 5, 2025 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with Pastor Jeff Bryant officiating and burial to follow at Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 12 PM until service time at the funeral home.
